You asked, and we are back with another post that will focus on easy hairstyle ideas for your little girl. In a previous post, I shared a two-strand twist hairstyle. Now, I am going to share some hairstyling ideas that will help in maintaining those two-strand twists.

Don’t Overthink It.

Coming up with hairstyle ideas can be challenging for us moms because wash day can be BRUTAL and time-consuming. Over the years, I have learned to work smarter – not harder – when it comes to hairstyle ideas for M. I always opt for a hairstyle that is not only easy to do but also easy to maintain. That is one of the reasons why I love protective styles like braids and two-strand twists.

These hairstyles are also great protective styles if you are focusing on hair growth for your little one. The less amount of time you spend combing, brushing, and washing is always better for the overall health of your child’s hair. You may know this process as “low manipulation”. I LIVE for hairstyles like this.

When I styled M’s hair in two-strand twists, I wanted to find a way for her to wear them a little longer. Here are a few of the hairstyle ideas that we came up with. M really loves wearing her hair like this and, thanks to the styles we created, her hair lasted a few days longer than what it typically would.
