Easy Mini Top Knots Hairstyle

To all of the momma’s and daddy’s who deal with curly hair struggle, I am here to help! I will be doing more of these toddler hairstyles and tutorials to help you with styling your little one’s hair. So read more on this easy mini top knots hairstyle for your little princess!

For me, my daughter (featured in the videos) has really tight coils/curls. If I were to let her run around curly and free her hair would be a matted mess! So, my goal is to create hairstyles for her that not only protect her precious curls but can withstand the daycare scene. I must say since I have started styling my daughter’s hair in more braids, twists, and ponytails her hair has grown so fast! I will write another post showing the difference a year made in her hair growth. The great thing about this hairstyle, she really loves wearing her hair with mini top knots.

Step One:

Using a comb (whichever is your favorite) section the hair into 4 sections. Two at the front and Two at the bottom

Step Two:

Braid the bottom two sections. If it is easier for you to braid by securing the hair with a rubber band or elastic band go for it!

Another tip, I don’t wash her hair every week. However, I always refresh and re-style her hair throughout the week. As far as wash day, I wash her hair every 2-3 weeks. Because I don’t use a lot of different styling products in her hair, I don’t have to worry about an excess of product build up.
