Today was the perfect day to break out my fedora hat and my new twill anorak! The heat is breaking and my favorite part of the year is in full swing. All photos in this post were taken by the super talented Jen Meadows with Jen Meadows Photography.

When I had the opportunity to meet with Jen and discuss my goals for my blog and the images I was trying to capture she was just as excited about the photoshoot as I was. I honestly believe we were meant to work together. As I start to pay very close attention to the people who enter and leave my life, I now realize that you don’t just meet people by accident. You meet those who will have an impact on you and more than one way.

I used to think that any garment that had stripes was not for me! I am glad that now that I am older I have a better appreciation for stripes. I have learned that you have so many different styling options with stripes. If you read my post 3 Must Haves This Fall you will see that I have more than one of these knit tops I the best part about having stripes as a part of your wardrobe is that your layering options are endless.

Real talk…I think I have more Sunglasses than Forever 21 has in stock. Y’all my addiction to sunglasses (anything pretty) is INSANE! I feel like this particular pair of Classic Cat Eye Sunglasses serve a duel purpose. The first one is, of course to block the sun, but the second is that they are the perfect fit to use as a head band!

These shoes are so much fun and they are super comfortable too! I know that Forever 21 probably doesn’t carry these exact shoes anymore but don’t you worry because you can shop a similar pair here. I think everyone should have a pair of easy slip on faux suede lace up shoes, for me, these shoes really completed the look I was going for.
