Just when you thought all of the parties and special events were over, 2019 hit! I am excited that 2019 is here and with my calendar quickly filling up I couldn’t forget about all of the special events that I will attend this year.

So, a little story… I purchased my wedding gown and all accessories from David’s Bridal over 10 years ago. Gosh, I can’t even believe it has been that long already. One thing that attracted me to purchase my wedding dress from David’s Bridal was the amazing quality and craftsmanship–many of the wedding dresses they offer feature beading and finishing by hand! To top it off the dresses are surprisingly affordable!

I also opted for the dress preservation services at that time because if I were to have kids, I would want to have something to pass down to them. This was by far one of the best decisions I think I have made in my life.

I visited store #17 in Altamonte, Florida and I had the most amazing and fun experience.

The day I went into the store I was greeted with the smiling faces of Lisa and Lenne. Lenne was my dedicated associate. She was so kind and upbeat, and she reminded me of my cousin. She even looked like her! lol. Lenne took me around the store after I explained to her that I was looking for a dress that was neutral and that had sleeves. Unfortunately, I didn’t find one with the type of sleeves I was looking for but they did have plenty of other options. After a few minutes of browsing the store, I found this beauty. If you follow me on Instagram you know that I am a huge fan of lace and fitted dresses.

This dress was so beautiful.

It’s funny looking at my wedding dress it was almost fitted the same way! I will be attending several events this year and I also have a couple of speaking engagements lined up. I know where I will be going for my wardrobe. Now, you know I just can’t go shopping without asking a few questions about the store and their inventory. While I was in the Altamonte Store, I asked Lenne if she could share a few things about some of the misconceptions a person would have about shopping at David’s Bridal for event wardrobes and this is what she had to say.

“People need to know that we are more than a bridal store. We have tons of accessories and shoes that would be perfect for any event. I just wish more people realized how much David’s Bridal really has to offer.”

Now, after I tried on this beautiful dress by Morgan & Co. , I went looking around to see some of the accessories that Lenne had mentioned. Yall, I was blown away! Lenne was right! There are so many beautiful and affordable options to complete your entire look.

I wish some of these pieces were options back in 2008!
