Natural Hair Tutorial: Two-Strand Twists For Little Girls
Two-Strand Twists Tutorial
I can’t even remember the last time that I styled M’s hair in two-strand twists. She may have been 3 years old. Her hair is so much longer now (thanks to protective styling) and I wanted to try my hand at these twists again.
Luckily for me, M was a great sport and she did an amazing job on her Natural Hair Tutorial: Two-Strand Twist For Little Girls video. To my mamas with little girls who have natural hair, you will definitely want to check it out. I made sure to keep the steps and products to a minimum.
Now, you don’t have to have the products that I used for M. If you have a favorite protective styling product that you currently use, you can use that to create this style. However, if you want to try the products featured in this post and on the video, I have linked them below for you.
You will see in the pictures that little Miss M was overdue for a wash and style day. It took about an hour to complete the style (give or take). Let’s just say I didn’t really realize how long her hair REALLY was until I got started on these two-strand twists. This style has been perfect for her since we have been inside with nowhere to go. She can run and play and the best part is …
I don’t have to get up and style her hair every day.
(Aint nobody got time for that!)
For me, the key to this style is to make sure you take your time to section the hair. By doing this, it will make it easier for you to refresh the two-strand twists when the time comes. Don’t worry, I also filmed how I refreshed M’s two-strand twists and I will be sharing that here on the blog soon. After her twists air-dried, they were gorgeous!
I was one proud mama and she was one happy little girl!
