My Little Ballerina

Life

It is that time of year again! DANCE! I can’t tell you how excited I am about the new dance year. I recently switched dance schools and I am already in love with our new home. I honestly think Maddy may just love it more than me.

Maddy started dancing at just 18 months old; she was lucky, because most children don’t get the opportunity to start dance class that early. I am grateful that she started dance at such a young age. She absolutely loves it and she loved it on day one.  At first, I was nervous about up rooting her from the dance school she was so accustomed to and placing her into a new school. She would have to make new friends and get used to a new instructor.

I was so surprised at how she was such a big girl on her first day. She walked into the class, the teacher asked her “What is your name?” she responded, “Madison” then she walked away to stand in her place. As I watched the monitor, I realized my baby in no longer a baby. She took instruction so well and she was moving her little body to the beat. There were many first time dancers in her class but the crying and screaming did not distract her at all. She was all about her moves. Here is to a new year of dance, new friendships, and new beginnings!
