Hair: Updated Hair Care Routine
Hair Care Routine
Just when I thought I had this hair care routine thing down pat. I soon realized that I was so wrong! After numerous attempts of trying to repair my hair, I think I may have found my new staple product line. This product line is one that I would have never walked into the store and just freely purchased on my own. Mainly, because what I thought was working for my hair, was doing my hair more harm than good.
I know we like to watch YouTube and mindlessly scroll through Instagram and watch our favorite content creators and their must-have products. That is totally ok, but sometimes we need to take a step back and seek professional guidance to make sure that we are caring for our hair appropriately.
Professional Hair Care Stylist
I have had my share of working with many different hairstylists over the years. Honestly, ALL of them were amazing at their craft. As I started to venture out of my comfort zone and into the curly girl world I needed to find a stylist that understood MY struggle. A stylist that could help me LEARN about my hair and the BEST ways to properly care for it.
After attending Risos on the Road Tour in New Orleans, I reached out to one of the stylists that was there doing a LIVE demo. Before the event was over we exchanged contacts and I booked a consultation and appointment. I learned SO much from Chissel about my hair and how to care for it in just an hour! She was so knowledgable and straightforward. What love the most about my experience with her is that she didn’t sell me false hopes and expectations. She kept it real and informed me if I didn’t make some changes my hair would never see a healthier state. When she started to explain everything I instantly understood and vowed to better to care for my hair.
She introduced me to the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Line of products. These 3 products have changed my life! These products work for my type and texture of hair. I did not understand that my hair needs to have protein treatments every 3 months (minimum) so this product line works perfectly for me.
It is safe to say, that these products will be sticking around for a LONG time!
