Why My Christmas Tree Was Up Before Thanksgiving
I am the type of person that likes to put up the Christmas tree on or after Thanksgiving. As soon as I found out the due date of Baby Brown, I quickly realized that I would have to change my plans.
New Christmas Tree
Funny story, I actually tossed my Christmas Tree last year because I knew I wanted to purchase a flocked Christmas Tree this year. I don’t think the husband was for it because he knows I will spare no expense to get the tree I really want. This time around I played it smart and decided to purchase my Christmas tree in August.
Yeah, I know. That’s really early. The great thing about purchasing it so early was that I was able to get it on sale and it didn’t cost me a small fortune. This past weekend I decided to put the tree up early because I didn’t want M & C to be sad if I didn’t get around to it after having the baby.
Putting our Christmas Tree up and decorating together has been a tradition in our home since they were babies. I couldn’t disappoint them just because we will have a new baby. I love seeing the excitement on their little faces as we decorate and sing Christmas songs together.
To be honest, having Christmas tree up early seems to make everyone happy and in a good mood. It may not be my ideal situation but I am happy to do it for my babies. It’s crazy to think that Baby Brown will celebrate his/her FIRST Thanksgiving AND Christmas all this year.
This mama is just trying to prepare for it all and approach it all with grace.
Have you put up your Christmas Tree yet?
