Behind Scenes In The Life Of A Social Media Influencer
This post was done in partnership with Mazda. All opinions are my own.
Being a social media influencer has ups and downs. One thing is for sure it is a job for those who are passionate about the things they love to do. In today’s post, I am sharing a typical week for me when it comes to what goes into being a social media influencer.
For starters, there is so much that goes into planning and preparing the content way before the world gets to see it. Now, this does include keeping up with two very busy kids and running my other businesses. I love to book my photographer each month to capture images for this blog and my social media accounts. A trick to keeping up with it all I like to “batch” my photography sessions. This is easier for me and for my photographer. Why? with having a clear plan we can shoo the content efficiently and get exactly what I need for upcoming campings and posts
PRO TIP: Limit how many times you change your outfits
I love planning outfits that are easy to change in and out of. For example, pack a pair of black jeans and 2-3 pairs of shoes and 4-5 different shirts. another great thing about planning all of your photoshoots, you can use Pinterest.
Yep.
I created a board on Pinterest that I share with my photographer. I decided to use it as a tool to keep all of my inspiration ideas in one place. From lifestyle, family, fashion and business photos that will help me bring my ideas to life. I also made sure to add my photographer to the Pinterest board so she can have a visual of what type of look I am going for.
After about 2 hours of taking pictures, I was off to the gym. I have been trying hard to stay consistent with going to the gym. More importantly, I am trying to focus on more self-care this year. With that being said, I book 30-60 minute personal training sessions at least 1-2 times per week. This helps me to stay on top of my healthy and commitment to myself.
Meaningful Connections.
Another thing that I have committed to this year is staying connected to the wonderful people that I have had the pleasure of meeting over the past year of living in Florida. I had the chance to meet my good friend for lunch at Bar Taco in Dr. Phillips. It was such a great experience being that this was my first time at Bar Taco. We chatted for hours about what we have been up to and what our goal is for this year. One thing is true, there is not “influence” without fostering meaningful relationships.
That’s not all, after a week full of events, and plans I am still a mother and a wife. To wrap up the week we packed up in the 2019 Mazda CX5 and headed to my son’s basketball game. You see, all of the content and events that you see on social media is not even half of the work that goes into being an influencer.
The most rewarding jobs I have ever had.
