Pregnancy: 26 Weeks Pregnancy-Bump Update

Pregnancy

Whoa! What a difference a couple of weeks make! I know I missed a few bump updates, but I have been super busy. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I had a National Sales Meeting in Orlando. It was such a great experience because my sister also works for the same company and I had the chance to spend the entire week with her.

Then that Friday, my other sister and her fiance drove in from Atlanta to hang out with us. So, as I said…things have been crazy busy.

Good news, I am back with my 26 Weeks Bump Update for ya! Also, I have been thinking about doing pregnancy vlogs when I hit my third trimester. (28 weeks) Let me know if that is something you would like to see.

I did go in for my monthly check-up and Baby Brown is doing great! I now weigh 160lbs, my blood pressure was 118/75  and the baby’s heartbeat was 160BPM. Let me tell you, there is something about hearing the heartbeat at these visits. Although I have been feeling Baby Brown move since I was 14 weeks pregnant, it’s still so reassuring to hear that beautiful sound.

To be honest, I don’t think the baby likes the doppler because the baby starts kicking and moving every time!

A few things that I have noticed this week:

  1. Ankle swelling

  2. Back Pain

  3. Larger Boobies

To be honest, I am quite shocked that my ankles have started to swell. At first, I thought it was because I do a lot of driving for my job. Then I quickly realized that they will swell if I do too much walking or if I am on my feet for a long period of time. I can tell that my shoes don’t fit the same either. I am still wearing my heels to work, but I will have to find some comfy flats as this pregnancy progresses.  The crazy part is that I can actually feel them swelling. As far as the back pain…it has been on another level! I have been having pain in my lower back and I probably need to go purchase me one of those nifty belly support bands.

Then to top it all off, your girl had to purchase some new bras. Yall won’t believe the size bra I had to buy and how much it cost me. The sad thing is this is not even a nursing bra! Do you want to know the size?

34G

Yep. You read that correctly. 34G. Yes, they make them that large! Then I had to pay $65 for one and $45 for the other. Insane! I just pray that they don’t get any bigger. So as you can see there has been a hell of a lot of things going on over here on our end. Despite it all, it will be so worth it when Baby Brown arrives in November. My next doctor’s appointment will be a long one. I have to see my doctor for my 28-week checkup and I have to do a growth ultrasound.

This is where they will check the baby to make sure the baby is growing on track. This procedure was recommended by the fetal medicine doctor because I am considered Advanced Maternal Age. I also have to go this week to get more blood work done and take my second Glucose Drink to make sure I don’t have gestational diabetes. As you can see things are about to get crazy!

Overall, we are doing well! #blessed
