October 2020 Wins

I don’t know about you, but it seems like I blinked and the month of October was over. Of course, I am staying accountable and sharing my monthly wins with you. Remember in my initial “WINS” post I mentioned that I was going to start keeping track of all of my monthly wins no matter how big or small?

Well, here we are!

But before I get into sharing all of the details, I wanted to share a few things that I struggled with this month. The first was, not being able to spend time with my sister for her birthday this year. For some, it may not be a big deal. But for me, birthdays are a big deal. I was sad that we couldn’t be together to celebrate with her but my prayer is that we will get a do-over next year.

Also, I had a mini-breakdown this month. Yep. Tears and all. This month I started my research & planning process for Baby E’s first birthday celebration. This is an exciting time but in the middle of my search, I became completely overwhelmed with sadness. This is a happy time but for Baby E, her celebration will not be the same as her brother and sister.

We won’t have the privilege of having family and friends gather to celebrate her on this very big milestone. No hugging her aunts and grandparents. None of it. I’m getting emotional all over again thinking about how so much has changed in a year. If I have learned nothing else during this pandemic, I have learned how precious time with family and friends really is.

I will never take another opportunity to make memories and to love on my family and friends for granted ever again. We will have a ZOOM party for Baby E and I am hopeful that soon we will all be together again to make up for the lost time.

Let’s talk about October WINS!

To be honest, I didn’t take good notes this month but we are going for it anyway.

October WINS

• Booked a family photoshoot with one of my favorite local brands
• Completed our first family campaign with Toyota USA
• Had a solo photoshoot with the hubby (more to come on this)
• Was featured on 8th and East, CRWND App, Style Rave over on Instagram
• Launched the new Batching in Business Workbook-FREE Download
• 732K Monthly Viewers on Pinterest
• 4,106 YouTube Subscribers
• Reached 9,000 Pageviews to the blog! ( say what?!)
• Closed the month of October earning 5 figures! 
• Welcomed new subscribers to the TDB Insiders Newsletter
• Posted & shared content to Instagram every day

I am truly blown away by this list of October wins. People often ask me why do I push through for my “side hustle” well, this is why. I am building the life I want to live brick by brick. To top it off, I am still working my full-time job. So if you are putting in the work towards your goals, do not give up!

Trust me, you will have bad days. You will have days that you feel like you have accomplished nothing at all. But always remember why you started. I know there are things I could have done better this month but overall I am happy with what I DID accomplish.

For November, I am claiming another successful month to surpass the numbers above. I know it can be done it will be up to me to make it happen.
