Monochrome Makeup Trend
I can’t be the only one that has been hearing a lot of buzz about the monochrome makeup trend. Yep, I said monochrome or you may have heard the term monochromatic. If you are anything like me when I first heard the term(s), I was like, what does that even look like. Let’s be honest, the rule of thumb when it comes to makeup is not to match all the colors together. So, of course, I was like this is something I must try! I mean it’s the only way of cheating the rule and matching all of the colors together. lol! For my fashionista, you know what it looks like when attempting a monochrome outfit. Anyway, I created three different monochrome looks that can be worn without getting the crazy looks from bystanders. But, before I show you what I created, I want to share with you,
3 Tips You Need To Know For Wearing The Monochrome Trend
Monochrome by definition is ONE color.
The key for a no-makeup look is to stick with colors within your skin tone
Keep eyes, lips, and cheek in the same color range; shimmery eyes with a matte lip or highlighter instead of blush.
If you are looking for the monochrome shade that is universal for just about all skin tones your winning shade would be Peach. Peach is a great year-round color too! If you are more of a “natural look” kinda gal, then you can incorporate tinted lip balms instead of lipsticks for a more natural take on the trend. I even love these looks for wearing to work. Simple neutral and professional, such a great way to switch things up and try a new trend.
Monochrome makeup really is an opportunity to play with color and to repurpose products. If you want to go all out you can match your nail polish too!
