Valentine’s Day!

After moving to Florida I did not think that I would make connections and start establishing friendships as fast as I have. I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing women and most of them and I, myself included, are a part of a collective group where we share, inspire, and build community. Despite my week being super busy, we had made plans to do Valentine’s Day shoot.

The goal of this shoot was to help give ideas to ladies who may not have a clue as to what to wear for Valentine’s Day this year. Don’t worry we have you covered! To give to a little background on the photoshoot, we met in Winter Park. We decided for lighting purposes afternoon shoot would work best. Now, what I loved the most was the fact that we are all so uniquely different. From petite to tall, we had the opportunity to showcase our individual style and remain true to our brands and audiences.

So, we decided that two of us would wear pink and the other two would wear red. We showed up and showed out! Everyone was so beautiful and the colors were so complementing for all of us.

We turned the streets of Winter Park into our runway and everyone was watching! It was such a great experience.

Now, what you need to know to get Valentine’s Day Ready is to check out these lovely ladies and head over to their blog to get the scoop on their outfits. I have linked their websites to our photo. Just click on their names and it will take to directly to their site.

All-White

Happy New Year! It is all about winter white this month. It has been so cold lately and I thought this post would be a great kick off for 2018!  As promised I am sticking to my goal of posting a blog post once per week. Before I was posting at least 2-3 posts but felt that it took away from what I really want to share with you, my readers. This year will be more focused on being a resource to you. The next future posts will have a bit of a twist. They will include lookbooks with more focused tips to help you with styling, makeup, and hair. Be sure to let me know what you are looking forward to me sharing this year. 2018 is all about YOU!

This outfit made my BEST OF NINE for Instagram for 2017, so you know I had to spill the beans on how I made this all-white outfit work for me. Hopefully, these tips will help you to be more confident in wearing an all-white outfit.

3 Tips For Wearing An All-White Outfit

1. Try to Match Your Whites

This could be challenging if you are pairing different pieces together. Make sure the whites match or they are VERY close in color. You also want to check your outfit in different lighting to make sure everything looks great.

2. Add Some Color (Shoes, Handbag, Makeup)

Everyone loves a pop of color. You can take your all-white outfit up a notch by adding color. I added red lipstick and gold heels. I also tried this outfit with a pair of red heels and it looked better than I expected. So, before you say no to a “pop” of color try it first you may really like it.

3. Try To Add Some textures

You can add a blue jean jacket if you are going for a more casual look or maybe a knit kimono sweater. I decided to wear my cardigan with the feather trim. I wanted to keep the look classy so this cardigan was the perfect fit for me.

This outfit can be very versatile, you can add your favorite pair of red heels or any pair that adds a  “pop” of color. This simple change can go really well with an all-white ensemble.

My intentions for this outfit were to wear it to the Diner En Blanc event last year. When the day came for me to wear it, I  came down with the FLU! Talk about being ticked off! I was selected to go and cover the event three days before and my job was to share on social media and be the makeup artist for a few of the hosts. Talk about being BUMMED! So when the holidays rolled around I found the perfect opportunity to bring these pieces out of the hiding!
