I am slowly digging my way out of the mounds and mounds of things I need to get done. It definitely has been a busy start to the new year and although it a good thing, I really need to do better with time management. (Yes, I am working on it) I decided to sneak away to the library for a little piece and quiet so I can finally post all this amazing content that I have been dying to share with you.
In September of last year I launched Beauty in the Bayou, I had no idea what I was getting myself into and I really didn’t know anything about the amazing blogging community that I am now a part of. Being desperate and lonely in the Louisiana blogging community I started doing research on other area bloggers that I could hopefully connect with.
I had reached out to a few Louisiana area bloggers. Once again, being new to the blogger world and desperate to connect and find meet-ups for bloggers I came across the profile of Mckenna Trahan. She is a fashion blogger in Louisiana and her blog is Style Waltz. I reached out to her initially looking for fashion/blogger photographers in the area and our friendship grew from there.
In October, Mckenna contacted me about working with her on a opportunity with Vera Bradley. Now you know I couldn’t pass it up! We had such a great time in New Orleans and we ate some amazing food. I was able to talk about what it means to me to be a girl. Check out her video below and see what I had to say about how I feel about being a girl.
Be sure to check out Mckenna on Instagram and stop by her blog the Style Waltz for more on her It’s Good to be a Girl-A Girl’s Guide to New Orleans Vera Bradley shoot. I’m so thankful to McKenna for this amazing opportunity.
If you stop by Mckenna’s blog, be sure to let her that Tiffany sent ya!
Thanks so much for reading!
