Business Partners

Yes, business partners. Before you jump on me about needing a business partner keep reading. I get it. Women can do all things and most of the time we don’t need much help. Mainly because the help we get turns out to be not up t our standards. What that means, is that we end up doing double the work. From one independent woman to another, you need a business partner.

For me, I am incredibly blessed to have a great business partner in my sister De’Ana. Now, there was a time this was not the case. As we have gotten older, we have realized the importance of working together and not apart.

Teamwork.

My sister and I are incredibly blessed in so many ways. We have similar goals and we also have businesses that really compliment each other. See, having a business partner can really help you be successful in the world of entrepreneurship. Running a business on your own can be incredibly lonely. Hopefully, this post will have you considering finding a business partner that works for you.

5 Reasons Why Having A Business Partner Is Important:

1. Business Planning- having a business partner in my sister makes our conference calls pretty intense. We focus on planning content and business opportunities for both of our brands.

2. Goal Setting- there is never a week that goes by where we do not set our business goals. We also set our monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals. When we fall short we make a plan to help us get back on track to achieve the goals we have set.

3. Accountability- when you make plans and commit to helping your business grow, your business partner will be right there to help hold you accountable. They are a great motivator to make sure that you not only show up for them but more importantly for yourself.

4. Encourager- being an entrepreneur is HARD! You need a business partner that will be there to help you on the hard days. Someone that will encourage you to keep pushing even when there is nothing left.

5. Creative ideas- one of my favorite things about having a business partner in my sister is the creative process. She is the one I bounce all of my creative ideas off of. I love getting her insight and opinion on what the next step should be in my business. I also do the same for her. We work through the ups and downs together.

You see, there are a lot of great reasons why you should have a business partner. Remember you give so much time and energy to growing a successful business, but you don’t have to do it alone. Being business partners my sister and I have learned so much about this industry. I am just happy that we can be sister and work together as business partners.
