The One Thing I Regret Doing This Year-It’s Not What You Think

Style

Have you done anything this year that you regret doing?

I should be ashamed of myself! As I go through all of my files for 2018, I came across a TON of content that I never shared. I know…

CRAZY!

Looking back on these pictures, I just can’t help but ask myself why? Why did I not share these? I came to TWO possible reasons why.

  1. The Red would have thrown my entire Instagram vibe ALL the way off!  Primarily, because I was trying to find my “vibe” and I didn’t think that the red would fit with my “vision”.
  2. I got lazy. Instead of pushing through and posting and sharing the content, I held on to it waiting for the “right time” to share it.

It’s crazy to think about all of the things in 2018 I have not shared. All the things that I kept to myself because I didn’t “think” it would “fit in”. Gosh. how cray-cray is that? I mean, I invested a lot of money in professional photographers this year and I haven’t shared HALF of the content that was captured.

You can say that 2018 has taught me so much. More importantly, it has open my eyes to see the things that matter. All while I was wrapped up in having the “perfect” Instagram feed, I was missing one important thing.

CONNECTION

I wasn’t sharing the things that are important to me. I held on to the content that I loved because of the fear that it would mess up my “feed”. Wow! Typing that even sounds ridiculous. This year I have shared so many things but I haven’t been as open and as helpful as I want to be. So don’t be surprised if you see a SHIFT in the content that I will be sharing in 2019.

I want to help you to grow and achieve the goals that you have set for yourself. I know being a woman and a mother, we can put our passions on the back burner. Not anymore, I want to show you how you can have the best of both worlds! I really regret not giving it my all this year. Also, I regret not staying true to myself and getting sidetracked from my vision. All in all, with having this regret I have been able to see what my next steps should be.

You know what they say, when you know better, you do better! For me, I will commit to doing better in 2019!

What about you? Are you ready?!

I am totally guilty of doing that too! I figured now I have some content to sprinkle in throughout the year 😂😂

I think Instagram does hold us back! I’ve learned to post whatever I want and I don’t care if it doesn’t look cohesive. I’ve learned to deal with it!

I get on that whole perfect feed thing sometimes too, but I realize that’s not real life and sometimes we just need to post the stuff that we love, or is relevant and not worry about how the feed looks. Xo

  5. Cherryann Williams says:

I I am in total agreement with you. I promise myself that I am going to do better this year with my blogging!

  6. You look gorgeous in red. I’m glad you shared. We accepted from the get go that our feed was not going to be that white/pink feed as we (maybe just me) love color wayyyy too much! LOL.

    • Tiffany says:

Thanks, babe! Having a cohesive feed can be challenging. The good thing is now I see that having a feed that inspires and motivates is the most important.

I don’t have too many regrets from the year. Sometimes I wish I could have gone to more events to see people that I don’t get to see often, but I spent time with family so that was great. It’s hard to be able to do it all right?! xoxo, Nikki

That’s amazing that you didn’t have too many regrets in 2018! It is really hard to do it all, but we do the best that we can and that is all that matters.
