The products I use to create a simple makeup look in just 5 Steps
Products: MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Foundation NC 42, Becca Cosmetics Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop, MAC Cosmetics Blush Gingerly, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer, Medium Brown, Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Liquid Lipstick Catnip
1. FOUNDATION THAT LOOKS NATURAL
The trick to a fresh faced natural looking foundation that’s not too heavy and not too matte. My preference is always liquid foundation. After trying numerous products both low and high end, my favorite is MAC Cosmetics. I wear the MAC Mineralize Moisture SPF 15 Foundation in NC 42.
I love its formulation because its lightweight, has SPF, and its very easy to blend with my skin. Also, it doesn’t cause shine and it gives me a soft and natural finish.
If you use the right tone of blush, you can give your skin the perfect glow. There is nothing worse than purchasing the wrong tone of blush. No one wants to have their cheeks bright red or pink. MAC Cosmetics Powder Blush in Gingerly is a perfect color. It is natural looking shade and looks great on most skin tones. A trick to applying blush is always tap your brush before applying. You want to build the blush up to achieve your desired look.
Everyone has heard about using a highlighter. If you are looking for a soft glow or you want to shine like a disco ball, a good highlighter will do the trick! There are liquid formulations that are popular and well really well, but I prefer the powder highlighter. A great highlighter powder is Champagne Pop by Jaclyn Hill and Becca Cosmetics. The purpose of a highlighter is to brighten the shadows around your face, under the eyes and around the mouth. It can also be used for defining and contouring your face. You can find this highlighter at Sephora Stores.
4. NUDE LIPSTICK/GLOSS
To complete your effortless look you can always apply a nude lipstick or a lipstick that matches your natural lip color. I am a fan of many different nude shades of lipsticks, but my favorite go to lipstick is Catnip Matte Liquid Lipstick by Anastasia Beverly Hills.
5. EYEBROW DEFINER
One thing you will learn about me is that I am serious when it comes to grooming and filling in my eyebrows. I have come a very long way when it comes to getting my eyebrows to look full and natural. A year ago, I was using a brow pomade to fill in my eyebrows. My morning routine took longer with using the pomade, so I decided to try out the Brow Definer Pencil by Anastasia Beverly Hills in Medium Brown and let me tell you…it cut my brow time in half!
